Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent – and a mountain picnic by the Seven Lakes of Tajikistan. Two countries, one unforgettable journey.
You relax – we take care of everything! :)
The tour begins in Tashkent, where you will explore the history of the Uzbek capital: visit the Hazrati Imam complex with the 7th-century Quran of Caliph Uthman, the colourful Chorsu Bazaar, Independence Square, and Amir Timur Square.
From Tashkent, the route leads to Bukhara – a fairy-tale city. Here you will see the Kukeldash and Mir-i-Arab madrasas, the Lyab-i-Hauz ensemble with the Divan-Begi madrasa and khanaka, the ancient Ark Citadel, and the 10th-century Samanid Mausoleum.
Next stop – Samarkand. You will discover the Mausoleum of Saint Daniel, the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, the Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum (resting place of Amir Timur), the famous Registan Square with its three madrasas, and the Bibi-Khanym Mosque.
The highlight of the tour is a trip to Tajikistan – to the mountain town of Penjikent. You will visit the Seven Lakes, each with its own unique shade of blue, and enjoy lunch overlooking a mountain lake. You may also explore the ruins of Old Penjikent – an ancient Sogdian city – and visit the local bazaar.
